Meeting with delegation from Liberia

Economic Planning Secretary, Madam Katherine Muoki this morning met a delegation from Liberia on behalf of the Economic Planning Principal Secretary James Muhati. The delegation which is led by UNRCO, Niels Scott is in the country for a fact finding mission and sought to find out how Sustainable Development Goals are being mainstreamed at National and Sub-National levels including Civil society, Private Sector participation.

The objective of the peer to peer exchange is to promote United Nations Country Team learning and exchange of expertise and experiences. UN Liberia wishes to learn from Kenya on some of the best experiences in advancing SDGs at National and Sub-National levels, specifically the acceleration including nationalizing and localizing of SDGs in Kenya Government/UN Development dialogue platforms and experiences.

Present during the meeting was the Head of SDGs Coordination Directorate, William Komu and the Head of Public Communication, Florence Mugendi among others.
