
Welcome to the SDGs Coordination Directorate
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Coordination Directorate is one of the Directorates in the State Department for Planning. The Directorate started as a specialized Unit to coordinate the implementation of Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) in Kenya. The Unit was referred to as MDGs- Project Implementation Unit. The MDGs period came to an end in 2015 and led to adoption of the Sustainable Development Goals. The Unit was upgraded to a Directorate with the increased mandate of coordinating the mainstreaming of SDGs in policy, planning and budgeting at both levels of Government and also coordinating tracking and reporting on SDGs.
